How much is a rick of wood?

A rick is usually one stacked row 4 feet high and 8 feet long, the same as a face cord. With 16-inch logs that is about 43 cubic feet, a third of a full cord.

"Rick" is a regional word. Because a rick is one row deep, the log length sets how much wood it holds: 12-inch logs give a quarter of a cord, 18-inch logs about 0.38 of a cord.
